1) Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

2) Who we are and what we provide

The Site provides motorsport-related content, including blog posts, analysis, and tools such as DeltaTrace telemetry insights (the “Services”). We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time.

3) Intellectual property

3.1 Ownership. Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site is owned by or licensed to us, including blog posts, articles, analysis ideas and frameworks, track notes, telemetry analysis reports, graphics, charts, templates, downloadable files, branding, logos, and the Site’s design and code (collectively, “Content”).

3.2 Personal, non-commercial use. You may access and view the Content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to pages on the Site.

3.3 Limited reuse with attribution.
You may quote short excerpts of written Content for commentary, review, or academic purposes only if you:

  • Clearly credit CSC Motorsport as the source.

  • Include a visible, working link to the original page on the Site.

  • Do not present the excerpt as your own work or as original content.

Any other use of the Content (including substantial copying, translating, compiling, republishing, or creating derivative works based on our blog posts, analysis ideas, or frameworks) requires our prior written permission.

3.4 Images and media. All photographs, images, illustrations, and graphics on the Site are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not download, copy, redistribute, or reuse Site images without prior written permission, unless a specific image is clearly marked with a license permitting reuse (for example, “Creative Commons”) and you comply with that license.

3.5 Permission requests. For any use beyond what is explicitly allowed in this section, please contact us at balint@cscmotorsport.com with details of the intended use.

4) User accounts and acceptable use

If you create an account on the Site, you must:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential.

  • Inform us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site without our written consent.

  • Interfere with or attempt to circumvent any security or access controls.

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

5) Telemetry uploads and analysis (DeltaTrace)

If the Services allow you to upload telemetry or other performance data (“User Data”):

  • Your ownership. You retain ownership of User Data you upload.

  • License to operate the Services. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, analyze, and display your User Data as necessary to provide the Services to you (for example, generating reports and insights).

  • Improvement of tools. You agree that we may use aggregated and de-identified insights derived from User Data to improve our algorithms, benchmarking, and product features, provided this does not identify you personally.

  • Responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload the User Data and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.

6) Current pricing – free access; future paid features

6.1 Current status. At present, access to the blog and content is free. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium content in the future.

6.2 Future subscriptions. If we offer paid subscriptions or paid access to certain content:

  • We will clearly display the price, billing period, and what is included before you subscribe.

  • By starting a subscription, you authorize us (and our payment provider) to charge you the subscription fee on a recurring basis until you cancel.

6.3 Free trials (if offered). If a free trial is offered, the duration and conditions will be specified at sign-up. At the end of the trial, you may be automatically moved to a paid plan unless you cancel before the trial expires (this will be clearly indicated at sign-up).

7) Refunds and cancellation (for future paid plans)

When you introduce paid subscriptions, this is a baseline you can use and fine-tune:

7.1 Your right to cancel (EU consumer rules). If you are an EU consumer purchasing a digital subscription online, you generally have a 14‑day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, unless you explicitly agree to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose this right once full digital content is delivered. You should adapt this section to match exactly how you plan to deliver content and what consent wording you use at checkout.

7.2 Subscription renewal and cancellation.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

  • You can cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting us at balint@cscmotorsport.com.

  • When you cancel, you will usually keep access until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

7.3 Refund policy

7.3.1 General rule. We do not generally offer refunds for partially used billing periods, except where required by applicable law.

7.3.2 EU withdrawal right. If you are an EU consumer and you purchase a paid subscription, you may have a statutory 14‑day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By starting to use a paid subscription during this 14‑day period, you acknowledge that we are providing digital services immediately and that, where permitted by law, you may lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.

7.3.3 Proportionate charges. If you exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days after we have already started providing the subscription, we may charge you a proportionate amount for the period during which the subscription was available to you and deduct this amount from any refund, as permitted by applicable law.

7.3.4 Misuse or abuse. If we have reasonable grounds to believe that a withdrawal or refund request is abusive (for example, where the subscription has been used in a substantial way and then a withdrawal is requested solely to avoid payment), we reserve the right to refuse a refund to the extent permitted by applicable law.

8) Disclaimers

The Content and Services are provided for general information and educational purposes only. Motorsport and driving activities involve risk; you are solely responsible for any decisions you make.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that any particular result, lap time, or performance improvement will be achieved by using the Site or Services.

The data, metrics, and insights provided through DeltaTrace are generated using software tools that may contain bugs, limitations, or errors and may therefore be incomplete or inaccurate. Any conclusions, assumptions, research, or written analysis that you create based on DeltaTrace data are made entirely at your own risk. We do not review or verify your interpretations of the data, and we are not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or other consequences arising from decisions made or materials produced on the basis of data or insights obtained from DeltaTrace, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

  • Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim (or €100 if you have not paid anything).

10) Third-party links and services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

11) Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, unless mandatory consumer protection rules require a different forum.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top shows when the latest version took effect. Continuing to use the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
